I am so late in writing this review of her incredible talent. I brought a few projects to her and each one is a true reflection of what I was hoping for. I brought her yards of material that I was wanting to be made into pillow cases and a dog bed cover. Then I opened the bins of shirts for two quilts. Everything was beautifully completed in ways I couldn’t have imagined. So happy to have found her!

At a loss for words for the emotion this brings.
I selfishly wanted to keep this for myself, but my brother has put in so much work taking care of my dad’s estate this last year and the weight that carried. I can’t imagine anyone else have this but him!
Also, if you need any quilting done The Stitchin Mamas are by far the best! Miss Cathy was professional, meticulous and makes you fell like family! I highly recommend!

We had a very busy afternoon into the evening at work, and I finally got home as the sun was going down. I was surprised with an incredible gift of love that honors a career of 27-28 yrs or so now that I am proud of. Lord willing, we will be able to give many more. God has blessed me with incredible opportunity and gave me a love for the work we do at an early age. I have been blessed with a family that supports me and I couldn’t do it without them. Melissa Birdwell Dyer has been apparently working on this for 2 years… but after her Dad got sick, and we loved and cared for him, and just life, this project was apparently placed on hold a few times. I was surprised with it tonight, after a long day… a personalized EMS quilt made from many of my old T shirts ranging from where I first responded to a call to where I work now. I have literally worn all of these T shirts at one point over the years, and she dug them out of the closets, found one in the attic I had forgotten about… what an honor. The quilt was designed by Melissa and assembled/quilted by a local lady from Robertson County, with one of our RobCo small businesses Cathy Strother with The Stitchin Mamas. I love that it came from Robertson County, where I work now… but shows where I have been. How cool! Thank You!! I love it, means so much.

Today I took Hope on a field trip to The Stitchin Mamas to finalize a quilt. When we cleaned out my grandmother’s house in 2021 I found these 12 quilt blocks. I believe they were hand pieces by my Grandmother’s Grandmother. I sewed them together and Hope got to help quilt it. She and I will finish the binding together. A quilt started by her great, great, GREAT grandmother. If you’re counting that’s 7 generations difference between them. This was my Mother’s Day present and I couldn’t love it any more!
I highly recommend this company. They do good work at a reasonable price.
